Support is being offered to those who are worried about a sharp rise in their energy bills.
The announcement of a new price cap by energy regulator Ofgem means bills are set to increase from next month.
However, local residents can turn to Advice Direct Scotland for free and impartial guidance on the help available to them.
Conor Forbes, the charity’s director of policy, said: “Further rises after a difficult winter will alarm many people who are already struggling with household bills.
“We know many are having to make difficult decisions about spending on even essential items and this could push people into debt or worsen existing problems.
“The important thing to remember is no-one should struggle alone and help is available.”
