A JOBS fair will be held at the Barrhead Foundry later this month.
The event is being organised by East Renfrewshire’s employability service Work EastRen and takes place on Wednesday, March 22, when a wide range of vacancies with construction and retail firms will be on offer.
Those who go along can meet face-to-face with local and national employers and apply directly for jobs.
Firms which are signed up for the event include leading retailers Lidl, Starbucks, McDonald's, Burger King and Card Factory, as well as construction specialists Valley Group and Heron Bros.
They will be offering a variety of short-term and permanent roles.
The event will be held on the first floor of the Foundry, from 3pm until 6pm, and Work EastRen will have staff available to offer jobs advice, including interview tips, help with CVs and training opportunities.
Councillor Danny Devlin, East Renfrewshire's environment and housing convener, said: “If you’re looking for a role in retail or construction, this event is a fantastic opportunity to not only speak with local employers but also get some employability tips and advice from Work EastRen staff.
“We’ve got a great range of employers signed up, so I’d encourage anyone who can to head along to the Foundry later this month.”
