Towns and villages across East Renfrewshire fell silent in honour of fallen heroes as events took place to mark Remembrance Sunday.
Veterans, councillors, local dignitaries and residents gathered at services in Barrhead, Neilston and Newton Mearns to pay their respects.
East Renfrewshire Provost Mary Montague said it was an honour to attend the local services and observe a two-minute silence to "remember those we have lost in conflict."
She told the Barrhead News: "Reflecting on past conflicts is so important.
"A massive thanks goes to all those who commit their time to organise these important annual events."
