Bargain-hunters were out in force as an indoor market took place in Neilston.
People of all ages went along to The Bank community hub as Neilston Development Trust (NDT) hosted the event, which also included a car boot sale.
Small businesses took over the main hall, with stalls selling various goods, while shoppers also found new homes for unwanted treasures as the car boot sale attracted a crowd to the car park.
Jennifer Carroll, NDT co-ordinator, said: “It was a brilliant day. It was so lovely to have everyone coming together like this. We really didn’t expect it to be as busy as it was.
Eryn Fryar, a finalist in the Junior FOEW (Face of Europe and the World) contest opened the event.
“The idea stemmed from lockdown. A lot of small businesses started up but were struggling with sales. For a lot of the stallholders, this was their first time at a market and it has given them the confidence boost to book themselves into more.
“There is so much talent in the village and it was amazing to pull everyone together and really showcase all of the wonderful things people can do.
“We are definitely thinking about hosting another market, as we have lots of businesses that didn’t get a chance to be involved this time, and people are also keen for more car boot sales.”
