East Renfrewshire residents are in for a tasty treat as top chefs serve up mouthwatering dishes at a food and drink festival.
Stars of MasterChef and The Great British Bake Off are set to appear at the Foodies Festival taking place at Rouken Glen Park from Friday, August 12, until Sunday, August 14.
As well as featuring gastronomic delights from around the world, there will be lots of live music to enjoy at the event, which has been dubbed ‘Gastro-Glastonbury.’ A spokesperson said: “Chefs from Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurants will give the festival a distinctive local flavour.
“Over 150 artisan producers will showcase their produce, providing festival-goers with a fantastic opportunity to sample the best of the region and to try a huge selection of delicious food and drink from around the world.
“Browse the very latest world food trends in the Shopping Village and try unusual new dishes on Street Food Avenue. The range includes delicacies from all four corners of the globe.”
The festival will be open from noon until 9pm on the Friday, from 11am until 9pm on the Saturday and from 11am until 8pm on the Sunday.
Tickets are priced from £3 to £19 and can be booked online at foodiesfestival.com.
