A Barrhead Church was packed full of locals celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.
St Andrews Parish Church made full use of the sunshine with garden games, delicious cakes, and scones home baked by members of the congregation.
The event was open to everyone and hit full capacity fifteen minutes before it was meant to open much to the surprise of Rev Tim Mineard.
Rev Tim said: “The weather was lovely, so we got to use the outdoor space at the back which has recently been landscaped.
“I was so surprised that the church was full before the event had even started, it was lovely to see everyone, and the afternoon tea was delicious. I’m so happy the afternoon was a success, and I really didn’t expect such an amazing response from the local community.”
