YOUNGSTERS had a magical time as Neilston Library hosted an event to mark Harry Potter Book Day.
The fun activities included arts and crafts, with children enjoying the chance to make bookmarks, Hedwig owls and word searches.
Scott Simpson, head of libraries at East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, told the Barrhead News: “We invited families along to our libraries across East Renfrewshire for some magical mischief, led by our libraries’ team.
“We were delighted to welcome aspiring witches and wizards to join in the free fun at Neilston Library.
“Some of the children turned up in costume to celebrate at our sessions, which also took place at the Barrhead Foundry and Clarkston, Giffnock, Thornliebank, Busby and Eaglesham Libraries.
“We hope all of the families who went along enjoyed the activities.
“Keep your eyes peeled for more activities coming to your local library soon.”
