KELIS and Egyptian Lover have cancelled their performances at Playground Festival in East Renfrewshire due to "unforeseen circumstances complicated by Covid".
Both American musicians were due to perform at the Rouken Glen Park event this weekend.
Festival bosses confirmed the news on social media this morning telling fans they are "gutted".
A statement published on Facebook reads: "Due to unforeseen circumstances complicated by COVID - Kelis & Egyptian Lover have been forced to cancel Playground Festival this year.
"Although we are gutted as we were all very excited to see them both in our beautiful Rouken Glen Park we still have a whole host of artists to spend your Saturday with."
It comes as we previously told that Hot Chip had been forced to pull out of their Megamix set at the music festival due to illness.
Playground Festival made a comeback yesterday after two years with acts including The Libertines, James and Glasvegas entertaining audiences on the first day.
Revellers can enjoy a number of performances today including Boy George & Culture Club as the event continues this weekend.
