Police are urging parents to know where their children are as officers crack down on anti-social behaviour after a series of arson attacks at a Barrhead golf course.
Areas of Fereneze Golf Club, in Fereneze Road, have repeatedly been set on fire by groups of booze-fuelled youths.
In one incident, on Sunday, May 2, a gorse bush next to one of the greens was set alight and it took firefighters several hours to bring the flames under control.
Police have been working with East Renfrewshire Council to source CCTV evidence.
Inspector Michelle Grant said: “The consequences of this behaviour are far-reaching, so we are keen to push the message – know where your children are and don’t have them involved in all sorts of things which could get them into trouble, particularly the setting of fires.”
