PANCAKE Tuesday may be just around the corner but, for visitors to Barrhead Bourock Parish Church, it will have to be pretty extravagant to beat the feast they had on Saturday.
Arranged to help raise funds for a wealth of charities, Bourock’s annual pancake morning was run by the Church of Scotland Guild, with an open invitation to the community to come along and enjoy some sweet treats.
For just £2 on the door, guests were able to feast on a delicious array of pancakes, freshly prepared on the hotplate by volunteers and served up with butter and jam.
The additions of home baking and a raffle ensured some extra cash was brought in, which will all go towards helping worthy causes.
Organisers, Guild members and visitors alike were all united in agreement that the event proved to be a sweet success.
Thanks are due to everyone who offered support and helped to bring the event together.
