THE team behind a campaign to bring 10 life-saving defibrillators to Barrhead is ramping up fundraising efforts as it approaches its first installation.
The Levern Valley Defibrillator Community Partnership will be installing its first public access defibrillator (PAD) at Auchenback Resource Centre in Aurs Drive in a matter of weeks.
The group’s chairman, Douglas Yates, said: “We are grateful for the donations already received to help purchase these essential items of life-saving equipment but have much more money to raise.”
A fundraising Race Night has been organised at the United Services Club on Friday, February 22 at 7pm with tickets costing £5. Raffle prizes and sponsors are sought.
Campaigners will also host a Feast of Musical Entertainment in Carlibar Primary School on Thursday, March 22 at 7pm.
