A CAR burst into flames during rush hour traffic in Neilston this morning.
Firefighters were called to Neilston Road to battle the blaze.
Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident, which took place close to Neilston Cemetery.
It is not yet known what caused the fire.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 8.46am to reports of a car on fire in Neilston.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised one appliance to Neilston Road and firefighters extinguished the fire.
“Crews left the scene at 8.56am after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: “We were made aware of and attended an incident on Neilston Road at 8.50am on Tuesday, January 16 which was dealt with by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.”
