Pupils and staff have been taken a safe distance from the buildings after the alarm sounded at around 11am.
A forward control unit is dealing with the emergency services' response at St Luke's High School, while four fire engines and multiple police cars are on the scene.
Pulse 98.4 studios were also evacuated, with DJ Andy Lindsay saying : "I was just about to do the news when I was instructed by the police to evacuate.
"A member of staff indicated it may have been a bomb scare."
A klaxon alarm is going off at the building while fire fighters are maintaining a safe distance.
Barrhead High is also in a similar state of emergency evacuation.
East Renfrewshire Council say staff and pupils have been safely evacuated and there is no immediate concern.
A spokeswoman said: "Pupils have been evacuated from St Luke's High School and Barrhead High School.
"Emergency services are at both sites and all pupils are safe and well.
"We will provide updates as the matter progresses."
