ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour at Carlibar Park in Barrhead has sparked the removal of trees.
Following feedback from nearby residents, East Renfrewshire Council chopped down a number of trees to “increase visibility” after numerous reports of anti-social behaviour.
The removal of the trees gives the CCTV camera a better view for any future crimes.
A council spokesperson said: “Following reports of anti-social behaviour within Carlibar Park and feedback from residents, the council has selectively removed a number of trees.
“The trees will be replaced with 200 silver birch and wild cherry trees over the coming weeks elsewhere within the park.”
